The MetalMan Roofing System, offered exclusively by Advanced Metal Roofing, was put to the test on one customer's home in Sanford, N.C. during the deadly tornadoes that hit North Carolina on April 16, 2011.

While the Roberson family home in Sanford was just barely out of the tornado's destructive path, neighboring homes suffered severe damage. Just a few feet away from the Roberson home, a neighboring house was devastated, leaving just a shell of the brick house standing without a roof or windows left intact. Another neighbor lost most of his asphalt shingle roof in the winds, while area trees and metal light posts were bent and broken. Even the Roberson home showed signs of the intense twister including torn trim on the house and a bent steel fence.
